– Hey, can I go for just one night but with full board?

I open the app and discreetly stop the upload. I introduce myself, explain everything, give them a superior room (because it was Sunday, and because I’m a good person 😇), and notice that “we’re not saying anything, but we’re slightly disappointed we’re not at the Ritz” attitude.
Everything was fine, until my four-legged hosts Mastitwo, Masto and Maky arrived. 🐶🐶🐶
And then panic sets in:

Get them off me! – Excuse me… these dogs live here. – It’s just that my wife has a phobia of them… – I understand… but then I find it hard to understand why she participated in a raffle at an animal fair, to stay in one of the most pet-friendly houses in existence, where dogs are loose everywhere, even in common areas.
– We didn’t know… – Well, look, it’s all quite detailed. In the rules, on the website, in the spirit of the contest itself. It’s not a surprise.
I turn around, smile, and go about my business, hoping that maybe, just maybe… they will decide to leave. But no. They remain 🫠
