Of all the happy moments you’ve had throughout your life… how many involved your dog (or dogs)?

Take the test. Close your eyes for a moment and start rewinding those memories you hold dearest. How many times, in those moments of true happiness, was there a dog by your side? Or several? Or a whole farmhouse full of them?

It’s clear to me. Here, in Mas Torrencito, that place that seems to be taken out of a dream with the smell of wet earth, happy barking and curious snouts, all my happy moments have paws.
Because yes, there is always something crazy, a funny scene or an unexpected caress. But behind it all… there’s always a dog. Or two. Or twenty. 🐕🐕‍🦺🐶

When a new guest arrives, when the coffee pot rings in the morning, when the sun goes down behind the field… there they are. Masto, Maky, Mastitwo, Mamas… and so many others who pass through here leaving their mark (and hair, of course 😅). And also her, Manuela, that golden oldie who was the soul and boss of the place for 16 years, always with her flower in her ear and that look of “I’m in charge here”.

There are precious moments:
– The first coffee of the day surrounded by yawning dogs.
– A guest who arrives stressed and, at the third lick, is already smiling.
– An aimless walk where you are followed by twenty tails moving to the same beat.
– That silence at sunset, broken only by the quiet panting of someone who has run through the fields all day.

And when the day is over, when it seems like it’s all over… they are still there. Always. Next to you. Warming your feet, resting their snout on your leg, looking as if to say “relax, today was also a good day”.

Because yes… dogs are not only in your happy moments.
They make them happier. They fill them with life, laughter, tenderness.
And in the end, when you review what you have lived, you realize that happiness does not bark… but it is very similar.
